Are there any lessons you've picked up from cooking that you think can be applied to the work you do?
Carolina: In any recipe, as well as in the reports I work on, precision is essential. In the recipe, I have to make sure I use the specified amounts of the ingredients or otherwise it could fail and, in the reports, numbers have to be accurate to help analyze the business.
Do you have any memories attached to this recipe? / What does this meal remind you of?
Carolina: This dessert reminds me of home, Puerto Rico. It’s a traditional dessert we prepare for family gatherings.
What new recipes are you looking to try during this time?
Carolina: The next one I want to try is my mother’s recipe for Puerto Rican style beef stew. Stay tuned!
What is your favorite meal of the day?
Carolina: Do snacks count as a meal? 😅
Is there a Yummie piece that makes you feel your best while cooking?
Carolina: The French Terry Jogger allows me to comfortably wfh and enjoy a cocktail hour with my husband while cooking dinner.
- Regular vanilla cake mix
- 1 can evaporated milk
- 1 can condensed milk
- 1 can (same size as condensed milk) of coconut milk
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla
- Cinnamon powder
- Strawberries or cherries
Follow box directions for the cake. Once done, make small holes in the cake. Mix all milk + vanilla, and pour all of it on the cake. I like some cinnamon powder in the mix as well! Refrigerate overnight. Add whip cream & cinnamon on top before serving (add strawberries or cherries if desired).
